New Plus Size Fashion Blog - The Plus Side Of Black

I've started a new fashion blog "The Plus Side Of Black".   A fashion blog for all those out there that are plus size women and are always told to wear color! Well let me tell you ladies this blog will not do this. You see, I work as a cosmetician at Shoppers Drug Mart and as of May I will be making the move to Beauty Advisor at a Beauty Boutique (Shoppers Drug Mart exclusive makeup boutiques). So, I will be throwing away my black jacket and pants provide by SDM(uniform! be gone!) and I will be required to wear my own black clothing every shift. So, Ive decided to take you along with me to see what does one do to make a black wardrobe fashionable. Well, black is always the color to wear when being "in fashion" and everything is always the new black. So why not stick with it. Also, being a makeup artist you are always expected and required to dress in black.
Ok, so also with outfits, I will include of course foot wear, jewelery, handbags, and yes sometimes a few color pieces.
OH and of course you do not have to be a plus size gal to follow this blog. All shapes and sizes welcomed!
I would love to interact with my you and get feed back and advice on everything fashion.

The Toronto Beauty Bloggers Spring Event

On Sunday March 27, 2011 I attended the Spring Meet up of The Toronto Beauty Bloggers.  Once again, Farah (FacesbyFarah) out did herself.  The event was held at the Loki Salon in the heart of Yorkville,Toronto.

This event was sold out 2 months prior to the date. The lucky 40 attendes where treated to an afternoon of food, amazing gift basquet raffles, and a very outstanding swag bag.  Watch the video below to see what was in the my bag!

The afternoon was filled with amazing conversations about anything beauty.  I got the pleasure to meet up with Beauty Bloggers from other past events and got to meet some new faces.  I had to put some faces with Twitter names!

We had the amazing reps from The Marcelle Group join us and of course that was an added bonus to see the lovely Isabel and Virginie.

The Meet up was a huge success and I cant wait for the next Beauty Bloggers event!

GOSH Cosmetics Spring 2011

GOSH Cosmetics Spring 2011 spring collection is soft and romantic.  The collections is full of neutrals. Great for everyday and for those who would like to opt out from the bright colors of other spring 2011 collections.
The collection consist of 2 nail polishes, a palette of 6 eyeshadows (matte & satin), 2 lipsticks, 2 blushes (soft coral & soft pink), a liquid highlighter and black mascara from the core line.

My favorites from this collection has to be the lipsticks, soft and creamy.  The lighter shade is very similar to the new lady Gaga viva glam.
